The Friends of the Museum has now been amalgamated with the Woodbridge Museum and is no longer a separate charity. Originally set up when the museum was first opened, to raise money for the Museum, as it was not viable on its own. Since the Museum’s move to Whisstock’s square in 2019, it is not so reliant on the Friends but the Friends still purchase items for the Museum when needed.

Currently there are about 120 members. ​​​​​​​
